Tells A Story

Nijuuichi - which means '21' in Japanese - takes its name from its address at Duxton Hill. We serve authentic Edomae sushi omakase-style with creative flair and nuanced flavours in an intimate fine dining concept. At Nijuuichi, we keep things real, letting our food and service speak for themselves.

Conceptualised by Chef Marcus Yan, a disciple of the late Yoshio Nogawa. In a career that spans over 30 years, Chef Marcus has honed his skills to a fine art. The many luminaries who have graced his table include the Sultan of Johor and the late Prime Minister Lee Kwan Yew. Our team at Nijuuichi takes pride in their culinary skills, and engages diners with their warmth.

Nijuuichi uses only the finest seafood flown directly from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market (previously known as Tsukiji Market) four times a week. We serve Edomae sushi omakase style, with modern inflections. While the Nijuuichi menu changes with the seasons, there are some crowd pleasers that have become fixtures like kanpachi carpaccio laced with caviar and uni, and the Trinity Rice Bowl topped with negitoro, ikura and uni.
